Multiple boards

As a user, when I am at work, I might work on a certain set of tasks, and when I come home another set of tasks. So I would like to be able to create multiple Boards that I can switch between to give me a better oversight in certain situation.

I have kanbana premium, but the menu on my web version does not have an add feature for boards and I haven't been able to find a menu on the iPhone app. How does one add a second board?

Yes multiple boards are SOOOO wonderful ! Please help promote the idea that tasks can be drag/dropped between boards. Currently, we have to copy paste one by one, unless I am unaware of how (apologies in advance). Absolutely love this app !

It's done. I sing out an after that I sing in again an the option of multiple boards appears on the main menu. Thanks

I've paid for multiple boards but I haven't this choice on the menu. Where I can find it?

The multiple board feature crashes every time I try to use it. I have deleted other apps, logged out, and rebooted my ipad

I found that this app is useful more than a todolist app only. Now I am ussing this to brief a long book, but I have more than one book, so I think multiple boards would be better for me.

Another vote for multiple boards. I use Kanbana at the moment for my office work but I'd also like to start using it for personal tasks. I guess I a workaround would be to create a separate set of office and home stages and just flick between sets like having two boards side by side, as Antek mentions, but multiple boards would be ideal.

Up vote on this. If the dev too uses multiple, then surely he can understand that this is important. I'm primarily using this for my company project board and the headers just don't make sense for a personal application. However if multiple could be created (users choice how many), then I could have different groupings of tasks and be really efficient.

Multiple boards, or at least the ability to download more than one, would be very useful. I use the single board so much that I am running out of space! Great App. I just need more of it!

I'm also in favour of multiple boards or, as I would think of them, multiple projects. It's simply a matter of compartmentalising your life in a convenient way.

I love the flexibility and simplicity of the single board to manage tasks. Check. Beyond that, in my work I have some emergency response responsibilities and kanbana lends itself to creating themed checklists to help in the unlikely event of a call out. Simple example where a second board would be very handy.

    Thanks for listening

thanks for the app. it's really helpful and i am using it in combination with some gtd oriented app: firetask. i agree to the suggestion of having multiple boards. it would be useful to work on projects that need more refined task description. putting all this on the main board would not work and clarity will be gone. it's exactly as described by troels: you can keep track of the projects progress on the main board but plan and work it on the specialised one.
so my suggestion is to give the user the possibilty of multiple boards, so we can try what and how it works for our personal workflow.
i am curious how this will develop.

Im actually using the board to plan a plot for a novel, so it would be great to have multiple boards!!

I accept the argument for trying to keep focused by having only one Board, but there are different needs that would be helped by having more than one Board. So the main Board is for managing my life, but I would like to experiment with different lists to help me understand what my priorities ought to be on a number of large scale projects. One way is to scroll across and create a set of new columns and then I can just swipe across to those, but why not allow extra Boards anyway, then we have the choice.

What about using some sort of wiki tags and then you could filter the board based on these.. Example: Feed Cat [Personal] and Feed Boss [Work]. You could then filter [Personal] and the board only shows Personal and visa vis.
Another thing is that the colours appear quite arbitrary right now you could associate a hashtag with a colour or have a colour related to a different board.

My problem with over 200 clients with at least one to do for each I get lost.. I need multiple boards to manage but 200 boards is to much.. I then spend time looking for items or entering them again only to find out later they are on twice..

I've thought a lot about this one. The reason is that the philosophy behind running a personal kanban board is that you keep all your activities gathered in a single board to gain clarity and be able to balance your work load. If you start to create multiple boards then the risk is that you start to burden yourself with more than you are able to do, so my advice is that if the nature of your work can be gathered in a single board then try it out.

I try to do this my self but I must also admit that I have a separate account for the development tasks I do for Kanbana with a lot of details that I havent got in my personal board.
In my personal board I have a task saying "Test and release a new version of Kanbana" and in my Kanbana board I got all the details. In this way my personal board still gathers all of my activites but in less detailed form.

Agreed. It's difficult to scale with only one board. Too much clutter is inefficient.
